Towards greater accessibility
Transportation
The Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung European Union office in Brussels is easily accessible via public transport.
- Bus 12, 34, 38, 64, 80, 95. The stop at Luxembourg/Luxemburg is 50 m from our office.
- Train station Bruxelles-Luxembourg/Brussel Luxemburg is equipped with an elevator. The exit at Rue de Trèves/Trierstraat is wheelchair accessible
- Metro stop Trône/Troon of lines 2 and 6 is equipped with an elevator; the station is 400 metres from our office.

Accessing our building
The entrance to our building is wheelchair-friendly, but a small step is present at the main door. We will be happy to assist you, if necessary.
Accessing our events
Our office and meeting room is located on the 4th floor. The building is equipped with an elevator.
Unfortunately we do not have accessible toilets / bathrooms in our office.

Wheelchair spaces
We can adapt a few spots in our meeting room for wheelchair users. Please let us know in advance any specific needs.

Should you need so, you may always bring along your own interpreter.
Live streaming
Most public events are live-streamed on YouTube in order to make them accessible for people unable to visit us. Following the event, most recordings are be made available via our YouTube channel.
Making our websites more accessible
The annual reports of the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung and some other basic texts are available in Easy Read format.
We plan to use Easy Read or Plain Language formats for other texts too.

We have made technical optimisations and are further intensifying our editorial work. Since 2025, we have been offering "read aloud" for articles at www.boell.de.

Many films and video clips are available with subtitles.
