Wasil Schauseil, born in 1988, lives and works as a freelance journalist, researcher and filmmaker in Berlin. After studying political science in Munich and anthropology in London, he spent several months in Greece working on various journalistic projects.

He currently focuses on the topics of flight and migration as well as European development and security policy. Wasil is part of the transnational platform migration-control.info, which researches and educates on the externalisation of European borders. He is a regular contributor to the United Nations Association of Germany on the global work of the United Nations. He is also co-editor and author of the “Magazin für positive Frieden”.
