Stephen F. Szabo

Stephen F. Szabo is Senior Fellow at the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies and an Adjunct Lecturer in European Studies at the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at John Hopkins University. In earlier years he was Interim Dean and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at SAIS and taught at different universities such as the National Defense University, Hertie School of Governance in Berlin, George Washington University and Georgetown University, where he also received his PhD in Political Science. Moreover, he served as Executive Director of the Transatlantic Academy, a Washington D.C. based forum for research and dialogue between scholars, policy experts and authors both from Europe and the United States initiated by the German Marshall Fund, the Zeit-Stiftung Ebelin and Gerd Bucerius of Hamburg and the Robert Bosch Foundation. He has published numerous articles and books on German-American and transatlantic relations.
