Nela Riehl is part of Volt Europa and was elected into the European Parliament in 2024 where she joint The Greens/EFA Group. She was born and raised in Hamburg as a working-class child with roots in Germany and Ghana. In her political work, she is committed to the issues of social justice and feminist foreign policy. Before entering politics, Nela worked as a teacher.
