Natalie Bennett, Baroness Bennett of Manor Castle, is an Australian-born British politician and former journalist who served as leader of the Green Party of England and Wales from 2012 to 2016. Bennett, who joined the Green Party in 2006 after a career in journalism including editing the Guardian Weekly, was nominated as a life peer and sworn into the House of Lords in October 2019, becoming the party's second representative there. In the Lords, she has focused on environmental, health, and equality issues. She previously founded and chaired Green Party Women and served as a trustee of the Fawcett Society and at the board of Green European Foundation.
