Laura Navarro Preuß

Laura Navarro Preuß joined the European Union | Global Dialogue office of the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung as Trainee for the Green Transformation Team in September 2026. Her work focuses on economic and fiscal policy, with particular attention to industrial and budgetary policy, as well as the other programmes within the Team.

Before joining the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung, she worked as a trainee in the office of Member of the European Parliament Rasmus Andresen. Previously, Laura had also completed an internship in the United Nations Conference for Trade and Development, researching the potential use of central bank digital currencies for cross-border trade, and in a humanitarian organisation working on institutional partnerships. During her studies, she worked at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on an international project for health innovations.

She's currently an active member of the Crossroads Central Asia Summer School Program, where her research focuses on funding conditionalities for international projects.

Laura holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Rome Tor Vergata and a M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Regensburg. Over the course of her studies and early career, she developed a growing interest in the political dimensions of economics, which led her to pursue a second master’s degree in Interdisciplinary European Studies, and specialise in the intersection of EU affairs and economic policy.
