
Katrin Langensiepen was elected to the European Parliament in 2019. As the only woman with a visible disability in the Parliament and Vice-Chair of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs (EMPL), she fights for a social and inclusive Europe. In 2022, she also joined the Special Committee on the COVID-19 pandemic.
Born in Hannover in 1979, she has lived in Israel, Marseille and Shanghai and is a qualified assistant for foreign languages. In 2011, she became councillor in Hannover for Bündnis 90/ Die Grünen and served as a speaker for social affairs. Additionally, she was the speaker of her party's working group for persons with disabilities.
