
Katrin Langensiepen was elected in the European Parliament in 2019. As the only woman with a visible disability in the Parliament and Vice-Chair of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs, she fights for a social and inclusive Europe.
Born in Hannover in 1979, she is a convinced European. She has lived in Israel, Marseille and Shanghai and is a qualified assistant for foreign languages.
In 2011, she became councillor in Hannover for Bündnis 90/ Die Grünen and worked as speaker for social affairs. She was also the speaker of her party's working group for persons with disabilities.
