Jin Haritaworn is Associate Professor of Gender, Race and Environment at York University, Canada. Their publications include two monographs (Queer Lovers and Hateful Others: Regenerating Violent Times and Places and The Biopolitics of Mixing: Thai Multiracialities and Haunted Ascendancies), numerous articles (including inGLQ, Society&Space, Femina Politica and Topia), and several co/edited collections (including Queer Necropolitics, Queering Urban Justice, Marvellous Grounds and special issues in Sexualities and International Feminist Journal of Politics). German-language texts include chapters like "Queer-Imperialismus", "Kiss-ins und Dragqueens: Sexuelle Spektakel von Kiez und Nation" and "Über die (Un-)Möglichkeit, die Beziehung zwischen Kolonialität, Urbanität und Sexualität zu thematisieren". Dr. Haritaworn has made forerunning contributions to German and transnational debates on queer space, homonationalism, neoliberal cities, police violence/abolition and trans and queer of colour theories and politics.
