Angeliki Dimitriadi
Research Fellow on migration at the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy

Dr Angeliki Dimitriadi is Research Fellow on migration at the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP). Within the Migration Unit, she coordinates research projects on irregular migration, migration management and asylum policies. Between October 2015 and April 2016, she was visiting fellow in residence at the European Council on Foreign Relations in Berlin.  Her principal areas of research and teaching are the governance of irregular migration, migration management and asylum policies from a European and international perspective. Her publications include articles in referred journals, chapters in collective volumes. Her latest monograph 'Irregular Afghan migration to Europe: at the margins, looking in' was published by Palgrave in 2018. She regularly comments in the international and Greek media on current migration issues, acts as a reviewer for academic journals and consults for private institutions and national agencies on migration policy. Dr Dimitriadi received her PhD from Democritus University of Thrace in Greece. She holds a BSc in International Relations &History from the LSE and an MA in War Studies from King’s College London.
