Rebecca Lenhard

Rebecca Lenhard has been a member of the German Bundestag since March 2025. She lives in Nuremberg and is the spokesperson for digital policy for the Green Party parliamentary group, as well as chair of the working group on digital affairs and state modernisation. In the Bundestag, she sits on the Committee on Digital Affairs and State Modernisation and is a deputy member of the Committee on Economic Affairs and Energy and the Committee on Home Affairs. Within the parliamentary group, her responsibilities include digital sovereignty, artificial intelligence, telecommunications expansion and the digital economy.

Prior to her election to the Bundestag, she had been working as a freelance IT consultant since September 2024. Before that, she worked as a software analyst and product owner from February 2022 to August 2024 and as an IT consultant from October 2020 to January 2021.

Rebecca Lenhard completed a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg in 2020 and has been studying Communication Psychology via distance learning at IU International University since February 2023.

Since May 2025, Rebecca Lenhard has been co-chair of the Heinrich Böll Foundation’s Economic Circle on Digital Regulatory Policy.
