Kirsti Methi is an EU advisor at the North Norway European Office in Brussels. Before moving to Brussels, she had a position as strategic advisor for International and Arctic Affairs in Tromsø municipality where she also was the project manager for the Tromsø Arctic Capital project from 2018 to 2023. During the period of 2012 to 2018 she served as the Secretary-General for the European Movement Norway (Oslo).
Kirsti has had an international career of more than 20 years, working in Brussels from 1991 – 2004 with EU affairs representing the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO), in West Africa for the United Nations with the ILO (1986 - 1989) as well as in the Norwegian Embassy in Pretoria, South Africa (2005 – 2007). She has also had leadership positions within organisational development in NHO, Oslo central office, and in the Tromsø Romsa 2018 Winter Olympic Application Committee (2008).
Kirsti holds an MBA in Strategical Leadership and Economics (University of Tromsø) and a BA degree composed of Social Science, French and Mass Communications (University of Oslo).
