Kira Peter-Hansen is a Danish politician and a Member of the European Parliament for The Greens/EFA since 2019.  In the 2024 election, she was the lead candidate for the party, which ended up with it's best ever result at a national election. 

In the ninth legislative term, Kira was a member of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs (EMPL), in which she serves as coordinator for the Greens, and a substitute member of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON). In 2020, she also joined the Subcommittee on Tax Matters.
