Irem Elvin Unsal has been Finance and Administration Coordinator at the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung's Global Support for Democracy Unit since November 2022. Before, she worked at the European Endowment for Democracy for several years as Grants Assistant, Grants Assistant Coordinator and Grants Consultant. She assisted in the implementation, coordination and evaluation of project activities from the financial aspect.

Irem holds a Master of Science in Economics specializing in development economics and social economy from the Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium. She speaks Turkish, English and French.
