Date: 23 - 25 February 2009
Partners: WWF European Policy Office (EPO) and the Black Sea Trust for Regional Cooperation (BST)

The workshop, which hbf organized in co-operation with WWF EPLO and other partner NGOs from the specific countries, served as a follow-up to the workshop that took place from 10-12th March 2008 in Odessa. During this first workshop, the handbook „Greening the Black Sea“, which presents a methodology for the assessment of the ENP Action Plan implementation in the field of sustainable development, was revised. Now, one year later, conclusions were to be drawn on how well the handbook’s methodology worked in practice and what can be done to further improve it. Moreover, outcomes of the assessment in the specific ENP countries were presented to key policy makers and civil society representatives. The background of this workshop was among other things to give input to the ENPI mid-term review (published in April 2009) as well as the new definition of priorities of the European Commission for the ENP countries for 2010 – 2013.
