Ugo Puccio has been Head of Program - EU Funding and Project Management at Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung's Global Support for Democracy Unit since May 2021. Before joining the Foundation, he worked in Brussels over almost 7 years with Oxfam-Solidarité (the Belgian affiliate of the Oxfam Confederation), as Humanitarian Program Manager and Institutional Partnerships Manager in charge of DG-ECHO and Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency portfolios. Prior to that, he gained an extensive experience as project coordinator in both development and humanitarian contexts, working for 9 years with several NGOs in Egypt, Colombia, Senegal, Algeria and Cuba.

Ugo holds a Master’s Degree in Philosophy from the University of Palermo and a Master’s Degree in Project Design and International Cooperation for Development from the University of Roma ‘La Sapienza’. He speaks Italian, English, French and Spanish.
