Terry Reintke from Gelsenkirchen in the German Ruhr-Area is a Green Member of the European Parliament since 2014. She works on civil rights, democracy and rule of law, and is a fighter for the rights of LGBTQIA+ people in Europe, chairing the LGBTI Intergroup since 2017. Terry is committed to a Europe that fairly secures the transition to a carbon-neutral economy and gives people the prospect of good jobs and a future worth living.
She is co-president of the Greens/EFA Group in the European Parliament and was one of the two lead candidates in the 2024 election campaign. After the 2024 election, she was re-elected Co-Chair of the Greens/EFA Group in the EP, together with Bas Eickhout from the Netherlands.
From 2011 to 2013 she was the spokesperson of the Federation of Young European Greens.
