Sebastian Duwe is Program Director for Infrastructure and Development at the Heinrich Boell Foundation North America since February 2019 as part of the office’s work on global structural change. Prior to joining the foundation, Sebastian worked as an advisor for Michael Kellner, secretary general of the German Green Party, and before that for the Green Parliamentary Group in the German Bundestag. From 2010 to 2012 he has lived and worked as a consultant in Abuja, Nigeria. Sebastian holds a doctoral degree in political science from the Freie Universität Berlin, his dissertation is entitled “Governing the transition to a Green Economy. Drawing Lessons from the United States, China and the European Union”. He also holds a Master in Public Policy from the Hertie School of Governance.
