Maria Ohisalo is a Finnish politician and Member of the European Parliament since 2024. Between 2019 and 2021, she served as Minister of the Interior. She is the former chairman of the Green League and has been a Member of Parliament since 2019. She is also a member of the Helsinki city council. In 2017, Maria defended her doctorate in sociology at the University of Eastern Finland's Department of Social Sciences.
