Leonie Sontheimer is a freelance climate journalist. She writes, produces podcasts as well as videos and develops new formats for taz and ZDF. In 2021, she co-founded the Climate Journalism Network in Germany and, together with Katharina Mau, hosts the newsletter ‘Onboarding Climate Journalism’, which encourages fellow journalists to consider climate as a relevant aspect in every story. She studied biology and philosophy for her bachelor's degree and completed her master's degree at the German School of Journalism and the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
