Jennifer Allsopp is a writer, policy analyst and researcher working on migration, asylum, gender, democracy and social policy. She has worked with NGOs and at the universities of Oxford, Exeter, Birmingham and Queen Mary's as well as with the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS). She recently co-authored a study for the European Parliament on the EU’s Home Affairs agencies, anti-smuggling policies and the criminalization of humanitarian assistance to refugees and a book, Policing Humanitarianism: EU Anti-Smuggling Policies and their Impact on Civil Society, forthcoming with Hart. Jennifer is currently completing a PhD at the Department of Social Policy and Intervention at the University of Oxford as part of the Becoming Adult research project on EU policies on unaccompanied minors and the nexus between asylum, immigration and welfare policies. She works as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at SOAS University of London with the Migration Leadership Team.
