 Since 2011, Gisela Erler is State Counsellor for Civil Society and Civic Participation, for the State government of Baden-Württemberg, and Member of the Council of Ministers; Founder of pme Familienservice GmbH, Berlin, its Managing Director from 1992 – 2008; from 2006 Head of the service agency in the action programme for multigenerational houses; 2000 – 2006 Program director of the Conference “Work Life and Diversity”; formerly scientific consultant at the German Youth Institute (DJI) in Munich; family re-searcher, author (among others, Co-editor of Muttermanifest (‘Mothers’ Manifesto’) 1987). Born in 1946 in Biberach an der Riss. Daughter of SPD politician Fritz Erler.
