
Giorgos Christides is a Greece-based reporter for Der Spiegel since 2012. Previously he was a frequent contributor to the BBC (online and radio). His work has been published, among others, in Israeli daily Haaretz, Portugal’s weekly Expresso, and the monthly Czech magazine “Reporter”. Christides was an economics and politics editor at Greek daily “Makedonia” for a decade. Born in Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1976, he studied journalism, politics and international relations at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) and the University of Edinburgh (UK).
