Gesine Langlotz studied environmental education. She also holds a degree as a tree warden and works as a trainer at a fruit tree cutting school. In 2021, she also founded her own farm in East Thuringia with other young gardeners, which she had to give up in 2023. In addition, Langlotz is involved in the working group for farming (AbL) in central Germany. 

The focus of her commitment is on the topics of soil policy and working conditions in agriculture and business start-ups. With the New Economy Concept Work, she published in 2023 the dossier “Healthy Soil Policy”, in which real-political instruments for a successive soil market reform for the distribution fairness of agricultural areas are presented.
