Dr. Vedran Dzihic is a senior researcher at the oiip and a lecturer at the University of Vienna. He is also a non-resident senior fellow at the Center for Transatlantic Relations, School of Advanced International Studies, John Hopkins University, Washington D.C.

His research interests include: democratic theory and democratization processes, European integration, conflict research, civil society and protest movements, foreign policy and nationalism. His regional focus is on Eastern and Southeastern Europe with a particular emphasis on the Balkans and the USA.

He has written numerous books, articles and analyses on these topics and also regularly comments in international and national media.
