Anna Schwarz worked as Head of Programme - EU Foreign and Migration Policy at the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung European Union office in Brussels between 2019 and 2022. She was responsible for all issues related to the EU's asylum and migration policies, multilateralism, EU-China relations, EU Common Foreign and Security Policy (Asia, Africa, MENA region, East and South East Europe) and feminist foreign policy. Since September 2022 she works as Senior Programme Officer - Israel, Palestina, Egypt & Jordan at the headquarters of the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung in Berlin.
Before joining the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung, she worked as an accredited parliamentary assistant in the European Parliament in Brussels and as an officer for the German Federal Voluntary Service at 'Internationale Jugendgemeinschaftsdienste' in Berlin. During her studies, she was part of a research project on humanitarian military interventions as a research assistant at the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt.
Anna holds a bachelor degree in European Studies from Osnabrück University and a master degree in International Studies/Peace and Conflict Studies from the Goethe University Frankfurt and the TU Darmstadt.
