2013 has been an interesting year for Georgia as the government and civil society have worked to stabilise its democracy and positioned itself for EU aassociation while Russia tries to stenghthen ots political power in the South Caucasus by e.g. signing an agreement with Armenia. One year after the parliamentary elections much has changed for the better in Georgia but there is still some way to go, especially in terms of unemployment, economic development and the still unresolved issues with its neighbour Russia.
