Post scriptum
Just after this blog went online Oleh Sentsov announced that he was being forced to end his hunger strike after 144 days to avoid force-feeding. Russian authorities had planned to start force-feeding him due to the critical state of his health. Unfortunately, his hunger strike did not bring the release of Ukrainian prisoners of conscience. Putin remained uncompromising on this issue.
