Bart Kerremans is Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Leuven and serves as Associate-Professor at the Institute for International and European Studies. Moreover, he is chair of the board of the Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies, an interdisciplinary research centre of humanities and social sciences.

Previously, he worked as visiting professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the Institute of Political Studies Lille and George Washington University. He wrote his doctoral dissertation in the field of political and social sciences at the University of Antwerp. His research interests include the external trade policies of the United States and the European Union, WTO-related trade relations between the EU and the US as well as decision-making in trade policy on a general scale.
