Florian Christl

Florian Christl studied French Philology, Historical Studies and Intercultural European Studies at the Universities of Regensburg, Strasbourg and Clermont-Ferrand. During his studies, he worked as Research Assistant at the Institute of Romance in Regensburg and gained experience in the field of European politics through the EU Programmes and Democracy Traineeship at the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung European Union.

From 2019 to 2021, Florian supported the Director of the Brussels office in the planning, coordination and evaluation of the Foundation’s programmes in Brussels and in communication with European and international institutions.

In January 2021 he joined our unit “Global Support for Democracy”, where he is heading the “Young Advocates for Democracy” Programme.

Florian is fluent in German, English and French and speaks intermediate Spanish.
