The Heinrich Böll Foundation is a political foundation affiliated with the German Green Party. We are a green think tank and a network for international policy. Headquartered in Berlin, we have more than 30 offices worldwide.
Our main principles are ecology and sustainability, democracy and human rights, self-determination and justice. We place particular emphasis on gender democracy, meaning social emancipation and equal rights for women and men. We are also committed to equal rights for minorities, and to the societal and political participation of migrants. Finally, we promote nonviolence and proactive peace policies.
Internships at the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung European Union are designed for students with a creative mind and team spirit who are interested in EU policy making. We offer our interns the opportunity to enrich their academic knowledge within the context of political education and advocacy.
During your internship, you will focus on different topics in either one of the two following areas of our work:
- EU Programmes & Democracy,
- EU Policy,
- Global Transformation.
- European Energy Transition,
- International Climate, Energy & Agriculture Policy,
- Outreach & Communication.
You will assist in the preparation and implementation of events and research, as well as general office and administrative tasks. We will try to integrate your personal and professional interests. Please note that the internship should be a compulsory part of your studies and the duration of an internship should be between three and six months.
- Student of at least two years at an accredited University (BA or MA)
- Very good knowledge of English, knowledge of any additional language is an advantage
- Knowledge of Windows Microsoft Office or equivalent
Internships comprise 32 working hours per week (4 days per week).
We offer an allowance of 255 Euros per month and an additional rent allowance of maximum 255 Euros per month (for interns relocating to Brussels).
Please note that internships at the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Brussels are eligible for the Erasmus+ programme. For more information, please refer to the international office of your university.
