Alast Mojtahed Najafi is currently working as a parliamentary assistant for MEP Hannah Neumann, with a focus on human rights and feminist foreign policy.

At the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung they were responsible for the outreach activities of the foundation's European Union office.

Alast studied European Studies and International Relations in Osnabrück, Gqeberha, Dresden and Istanbul. They hold a master's degree in human rights from UCLouvain and an LL.M in European Law from Leiden University.
